Through the SOLUTION4INCLUSION initiative, @LTI conducted an online workshop on the use of the results from the project. This event was hosted by Ben Furman and Maiju Ahola. It counted with more than 30 people from different organisations, specialists in the field of Solution-focused approach, and technicians from the social field Empoderar had the privilege and honour to participate in a KA1 project: Storytelling for youth, held in Cyprus between the days of 14 th and 21 st of October. In this project, a lot of different cultures and faces were met. We also had the opportunity to talk about our on-going projects, such as the SOLUTION4INCLUSION project. A special thank you to @blue cherry academy for hosting the event, and @IUVENTA to have led the training throughout the days. Through the SOLUTION4INCLUSION initiative, Empoderar conducted an online workshop on the use of the results from the project. It counted with people from different organisations from different countries, from Cape Verde to Mozambique and Portugal. Specialists in the social field, as well as psychologists looking to broadening their approach. After the event, all participants were given the S4I manual, with the key principles of applying the solution-focused approach in the social sector.´ No âmbito do projeto, Solution4Inclusion, financiado pelo fundo Erasmus +, promovemos
um workshop gratuito sobre a Abordagem Focada na Solução para profissionais que apoiam pessoas em situação de desvantagem (desemprego, situações de dificuldade económica, ou contextos migratórios, entre outros). Será no dia 10 de outubro, entre as 10:00 e as 11:00, em formato online. A abordagem focada na solução é simples, eficaz e polivalente que permite a utilização em diferentes contextos, e tem tido uma elevada aceitação e sucesso por parte de técnicos e assistentes sociais que estão neste momento a utilizar esta abordagem. O participante conhecerá os princípios básicos da abordagem focada na solução, e terá acesso ao manual desenvolvido no âmbito da iniciativa. Este manual compila as técnicas para apoiar grupos-alvos a definir objetivos; a perceber as vantagens da realização de metas; a promover a confiança para as atingir; e o planeamento para as alcançar. Decorreu de 15 e 16 de Maio a formação gratuita sobre a abordagem focada na solução para a promoção da integração. Contou com a presença de 30 técnicos que trabalham com públicos desfavorecidos e estudantes.

The social work profession is defined by the practice that seeks the empowerment and liberation of people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds. However, there is often a gap between this goal and what actually happens in practice. One core principle of social working is giving voice to people who are subject to social change (Engen, Nissen & Uggerhøj, 2019). By orienting their professional practice into a reflexive, solution-focused exercise, target-groups will feel like actors of their own change. With this, social workers are creating opportunities for beneficiaries to take part act in setting and reaching their own goals.
Solution4Inclusion’s main objective is to promote inclusion and integration on disadvantaged groups (e.g., migrants; refugees; Neets; etc.) by improving the competences of the staff of organizations that support them by using training tools on Solution focused approach. To achieve this goal, the Solution4Icnlusion consortium is going to: 1. Provide training among the consortium to enhance their Skills of teaching and promoting change with solution focused Psychology Techniques in others; 2. Create guidelines on how to intervene effectively with solution focused techniques in these contexts, so that others can continue to benefit from this work, long after the lifetime of this project; 3. Give training in these techniques to professionals of organizations that support disadvantaged groups. This training will have a dual focus. It will help them internally, by promoting the development of teamwork; and externally, by increasing their effectiveness in helping their target groups, by promoting integration and inclusion. 4. Disseminate these tools in multiplier events, that will work as workshops on how to apply these techniques. With this workplan, the consortium is going to promote Inclusion and integration, by improving the competences of adult educators and the availability of High-quality learning opportunities. The S4I partnership selected the solution focused approach because it is effective, simple, and works like a structure where virtually every goal, context and organization can be accommodated.
